Slack Alerts Overview and Configuration🔗
Overview🔗
Lightrun integrates with Slack to help teams stay informed about runtime activity and debugging events directly within their Slack channels.
Instead of waiting in the Lightrun UI for a snapshot to hit or an alert to occur, developers can receive notifications in Slack and collaborate with their team in the channels they already use.
Once configured, Lightrun sends notifications to Slack when important system and runtime events occur. This helps development and operations teams react quickly to debugging insights without leaving Slack.
Slack alerts can notify your team about:
- Agent and user lifecycle events
- Action activity (inserted, removed, enabled, disabled, errors)
- Snapshot hits with runtime context (agent, timestamp, and execution details)
- Exception alerts and anomaly notifications
These notifications provide visibility into debugging activity and system events as they happen in production environments.
Configuration🔗
To configure Slack alerts in Lightrun:
- Open the Lightrun Web UI.
- Navigate to Integrations.
- Select Slack Integration.

- In the menu that opens, follow the instructions to add an incoming webhook for your Slack workspace.

- Save the configuration.
Once configured, Lightrun will send notifications to the specified Slack channel when supported events occur.
How Slack Alerts Work🔗
Lightrun sends Slack notifications based on events generated by the Lightrun server.
Depending on the event type, notifications may include contextual information such as the event type, timestamp, agent, user, and additional execution details. This helps teams understand what happened and when it occurred.
